Light    Thrives in bright light and can tolerate direct sunlight. It will also adapt to medium light, but growth will slow. In lower light conditions, water less frequently.

Water    in moderation allowing the top 2–3 cm of soil to dry out completely between waterings. In active growth season (spring and summer), water her more frequently  (roughly every 5-7 days, depending on your environment) and in fall and winter, reduce watering as growth slows (7 - 10 days, or when the soil is dry).

Humidity    Loves high humidity (over 40%)

Repotting and feeding    He will love our Universal houseplant mix. Feed him once a month in growing season with balanced NPK fertilizer. Because of the bonsai form, he will show nutrient deficiency quicker than most plants.

Common problems and solutions 

We really never had any problems with this plant type, but here are some problems that you might come across.

1. Soil drying too fast, plant needs to be watered a lot - common with bonsai forms. Repot in bigger pot or cut some of the roots of and add more soil.

2. White bugs on the plant - that's mealy bugs and they feed on plant juices. Remove them manually with alcohol soaked q-tip. Keep the pest away with neem oil.
