Svjetlo    Needs a bright space with plenty of indirect light. It will also enjoy a few hours of direct sun in the morning or late afternoon. It will not be happy in low-light conditions, and direct midday sun should be avoided as it can burn the leaves.

Voda    Allow the soil to almost completely dry out between waterings. It does not like constantly moist soil, which can quickly lead to root rot. In active growth season (spring and summer), water her more frequently  (roughly every 7 days, depending on your environment) and in fall and winter, reduce watering as growth slows (about every 10 days, or when the soil is almost dry).

Uobičajeni problemi i rješenja

1. Browning of variegated (yellow) areas – Caused by insufficient light combined with overwatering. Leaves, especially yellow parts with less chlorophyll, cannot use all the absorbed water, which leads to tissue damage. Move the plant to a brighter spot and maintain consistent watering.
2. Yellow leaves – Older leaves may naturally turn yellow and fall off; this is a normal part of growth. If it happens frequently, move the plant to a brighter location. Also check the soil to see if the plant needs watering or if it has been overwatered, which may have damaged the roots.
3. Brown leaf tips – Often a sign of low humidity or root damage. Move the plant to a more humid area or use a humidifier. Check the roots and, if rot is present, remove damaged parts and repot the plant.
4. Pests – Thrips and mealybugs are particularly fond of this plant. Leaves may appear misshapen or discolored, sometimes with a silvery sheen or with white, cottony pests. Try washing the leaves and using neem oil.
